Profit & Loss Statement - Profit from Discontinuing Operations in P&L

The Profit & Loss statement presents discontinued operations through dedicated line items and calculation logic. Where discontinued-operations amounts are applicable, “Profit after tax” is shown as “Profit/(loss) for the period from continuing operations.”

The statement includes separate heads for “Profit/(loss) from discontinuing operations” and “Tax expense of discontinuing operations,” ensuring the continuing and discontinued operations are presented distinctly.

Subhead Configuration

When Exceptional, Extraordinary, and Tax Expenses are marked as mandatory, the corresponding headings are retained in the Profit & Loss statement even when the values are zero.

Heads can be marked as mandatory by editing the heads under the P&L list on the subhead configuration page.

Marking a head as mandatory can be done from the Sub Head Configuration screen.
